About Jennifer
My Story
Now I have been in the world of partner social dancing for over 25 years. I have taught in numerous studios, schools, festivals, congresses, resorts and night clubs. I teach in the UK, the US, throughout Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. I coach Reading University students, and guest teach at Oxford University and Imperial College London.
I have danced in movies, TV, commercials, videos, live performances and won dance competitions. I danced salsa in Elstree Studios on a Strictly Come Dancing launch show and taught Dr. Michael Mosley his salsa basic steps on BBC1’s The Truth About Getting Fit.
One week I teaching in a village hall the next I’m guest presenting at places like the 5 Star All-inclusive Luxury Resorts like The Body Holiday St. Lucia, or it’s sister resort Rendezvous.
Yet, even with all these years of amazing experiences, there is still one type of dance that stands above the rest, makes me super proud and gets my eyes watery.
I love helping wedding couples with their first dance choreography. Yet I did not not have a first dance at my wedding.
Over the years I have helped hundreds of couples get ready for their first dance, either through my group dance classes or through private dance lessons. I have done this across several continents for different ages, ethnicities and dance abilities.
Time and time again, I have seen the same problems come up: patterns in behaviour and physical movement that sabotage a first dance. Over the years I have developed a simple, time-proven process that helps couples prepare for their first dance.
Your wedding is one of the most important and exciting days of your life. Everyone can have a wonderful wedding dance with the right help. I want to help you take the worry out of that moment, so you and your partner can feel prepared, relaxed and can enjoy being the centre of attention.
I understand not everyone is going to want to go big. So whether you want a simple waltz, a short salsa, a full-on flash-mob… or just be able to confidently sway alone on the dance floor…. each first dance is unique to the couple.
Don’t give in to fear. You can have a first dance that will be a happy memory for you for the rest of your life. Every time you hear your song you’ll remember your first dance. Any time you hear music that makes you want to dance, you’ll know you can take each other’s hand, strut onto the dance floor and look fabulous.
Are you nervous? Don’t worry, you’re in good hands. As we say in Texas, it’s not my first rodeo.
It’s time to begin making those memories. Let’s get started.
